Emptiness without God

GOD PAUSE: You know, I have made my share of mistakes in life. I have made poor decisions and gone down wrong paths. But I have really tried to learn from the mistakes others have made. I read for instance about Solomon's journey to find happiness and fulfillment in life. He tries so many avenues and still comes up empty. He says everything was useless and meaningless ---- until he comes to the end of his book of Ecclesiastes. He then concludes “Now, everything has been heard. Here is my final advice. Honor God and obey his commands. This is the most important thing people can do.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Dear God, help me and my friend keep the main thing the main thing. As we worship you by

Surrender Your Worries to God!

GOD PAUSE: A very wonderful “Good Morning!” to you, my friend! As you get ready to start off today, I want to share a verse with you that I look at every morning. Because it hangs on our bathroom wall. It's Psalm 46:10. “Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.” God says to surrender your worries and anxieties. Stop trying to make things work out well. Give up trying to changes things that only God can. Learn to rest in the fact that God always shows up and will be seen. Papa, may this comforting verse be a reality in all our lives. Even now. Amen. (Bless someone today by sharing this GOD PAUSE.)

A Personal Jesus Encounter!

GOD PAUSE: This I know for sure --- only a personal God-encounter can change the course of a life. Any life. Job said it well in his book --- “In the past I heard about you, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. And I am ashamed of myself. I am so sorry. As I sit in the dust and ashes,I promise to change my heart and my life.” (Job 42:5,6). Dear Lord, I have some friends that must have a true “come to Jesus” encounter. Without it, they will die. Please do whatever is necessary to bring them to You. Knowing about You won't do it. They need to know You. Break through, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen. (Bless someone today by sharing this GOD PAUSE.)
