Mountain Moving Faith

GOD PAUSE: I want to ask you this morning “Do you think we put limitations on God?” What I'm thinking I guess is whether you or I can stop short of what God can or promises to do in our lives? In Matthew 21:21,22 Jesus says “If you have no doubt of God's power and speak out of faith's fullness, everything you pray for you will receive.” And to help you and me get a visual of that, Jesus demonstrates it by causing a fig tree to wither up just by speaking to it. So, I am not going to try and water it down or explain some kind of exception to what Jesus tells us. Dear Lord, you know our hearts --- and our desire. We want to walk out in the fullness of faith. And experience the supernatural in o

Your Private Place!

GOD PAUSE: I want you to join me around the warmth of God's Word for a moment. In Psalm 25:14 David talks about a very special place for you and me to go to --- often. He says “There's a private place reserved for those who truly love the Lord, where they sit near Him and receive the revelation-secrets of His promises.” Dear Papa, my friend and I need to hear You tell us how easy it is to please and love You. We need You to take us by the hand and lead down the right paths of fearing and honoring You. In your light, you train us how to live. May we feel Your gentle pull to go often to that private place of Your Presence. Amen and amen.

Set My Heart On Fire!

GOD PAUSE: Dear Lord, set my heart on fire for You! I want there to be a holy passion, a zeal that consumes everything about my life. I want there to a fire that invades and purifies every aspect of my day to day life. As I see it in the life of Your Son, may it kick some things out, overturning stuff that shouldn't be there. I want my zeal for You to drive out things that are not good or healthy for me. No matter what those things are. As David had a zeal for You that would not rest, let it begin in me. I want my love for you to set my heart on fire! I want my passion to consume me for Your Presence. May nothing turn me away from this. In Jesus' might and holy name! Amen and amen!

A Symphony of Prayer

GOD PAUSE: Hello, my dear friend! I trust you are off to a very wonderful day. In our time right now, I wanted to share with you one of most powerful promises about prayer. Jesus Himself says in Matthew 18:19,20 “Again, I give you an eternal truth --- if two of you agree to ask God for something in a symphony of prayer, my heavenly Father will do it for you. For wherever two or three come together in honor of my name, I am right there with them!” Dear Papa, we thank You for the way to take prayer to another whole level. When we pray in community, You show up, too. And powerful results happen. Amen and amen.

A Power that is Greater!

GOD PAUSE: Good Morning! I want to share a Bible verse with you that I just read. It's found in Exodus 3:19 where God tells Moses “Pharaoh will not allow you to go, unless he is compelled by a hand stronger than his own.” And so I want you to know that there is a power that's stronger than the sickness and disease. There is a power greater than any addiction or hold on your life. There is a power that is bigger than any sin or stronghold. You see, the mighty power of Pharaoh could only be broken by the greater power of Almighty God. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, Your power be released in real life situations even right now. Break every power of the enemy and bring victory! Amen and am

Potential of Each Life

GOD PAUSE: I hope you're off to a good start, blessed with a day packed full of God's good things for you. I was amazed this morning by a timely word from the Lord as I read my Bible. In Exodus 2, the governing Pharaoh made a ruling that all male Hebrew children should be killed at birth. But two Hebrew midwives feared God more, allowing the babies to live. Exodus 2:10 tells you and me of one such baby. “The boy grew, and when the time was right, the woman brought him to Pharaoh's daughter, and she adopted him as her own son. She named him Moses because, as she explained, 'I took him out of the water.” Dear Papa, we thank You for each life you create and the blessing it will eventually becom

God, the Trusted Name

GOD PAUSE: I remember more than once driving down south and seeing a billboard with the words on it ---”God, the trusted name.” If I've learned anything in the past 50 plus years of being with God it's this --- despite all the twists and turns, God is always working in the details of my life. I can trust him. Let these words of Proverbs 3:5 – 7 encourage you today. “Trust God from the bottom of your heart. Don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go. He's the One who will keep you on track. Don't assume you know it all.” So to all of that, we simply say “Amen and amen!”

How Do I Approach My Bible?

GOD PAUSE: Good morning! The past few days, I've been thinking about how I see and approach my Bible. Now I'm sure you and I would agree that the Bible is the Word of God, right? But how do I really approach it? For instance, the Lord says in Isaiah 66:2 “So all these things came into being by and for Me. But to this one I will graciously look --- to him who is humble and contrite in spirit, and who reverently trembles at My word and honors what I say.” Dear Lord, I don't know all that trembling at Your Word means, but I do want to respect it. And I want to live it out in a reverential response to You. I want what You say to make a huge impact in how I do life. Amen and amen.

God's Words is Medicine

GOD PAUSE: Don't you just love how the Lord is faithful to speak into your life, even in such timely ways? I know you do. God's words are called sweet to our taste like honey. But, I know sometimes God's words to you and me are like medicine that is kind of hard to take. I was just reading Proverbs 4:13 that says “So receive my correction no matter how hard it is to swallow, for wisdom will snap you back into place. Her words will be invigorating life to you.” So Papa, may I always be open and receptive to Your correction in my life. I need it often. And thank You for loving me so much to do that. Amen and amen.

Your God Dreams

GOD PAUSE: Be encouraged today in knowing that nothing can destroy or put an end to the dreams that God gives to you. Absolutely nothing. There was a marker on Dr. King's grave, quoting Genesis 37:19,20 “Here comes that dreamer!' Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits. Then we will see what becomes of his dreams!” My friend, what God gives you a dream, it may seem delayed or even side-tracked at times. People and circumstances may come up against it. And your own weaknesses or inadequacies may stare you in the face. But trust God. He will bring it to pass. Dear Papa, thank You for the dreams you've give to me. I know that in Your timing, they they will become a reality.

God is at the Helm

GOD PAUSE: A very BIG “Good Morning!” to you, my friend. Right now, I'm reading through the life of one of my favorite Bible people ---- Joseph. I love the story mostly because I can see God working, even though not always seen at each step. God was always guiding and providing for Joseph.. Genesis 41:52 says “Joseph named the second son Ephraim, because as he said 'God has made me fruitful in the land of my misfortune.” My dear friend, God will always be there for you. Always take care of you. And always is busy at work, causing everything to work together for His best. Dear Lord, we trust You are always at work in our day-to-day lives. All is well because You are at the helm. Amen and amen

Blessed to be a Blessing!

GOD PAUSE: I was just reading a little bit about the life of Joseph in the Bible. Let's just say he was going through a really rough patch. Suffered great injustice. In a spot where he didn't deserve to be. But here's the deal --- he was still blessed to be a blessing. Genesis 39:3,5 says “Potiphar could not help but notice that the Lord was with Joseph and caused everything Joseph did to prosper. From that moment, the Lord blessed Potiphar's house for Joseph's sake, a blessing which seemed to cover everything Potiphar possessed.” Dear Papa, my friend and I are blessed for a reason --- to bless those around us. Our lives are not about us. It's about Your purpose to bless through us. Help us

He is your Everything!

GOD PAUSE: I was thinking this morning about the peace and security you and I have when the Lord becomes the most important thing in our lives. When we desire His Presence more than the presents he gives us. Kind of like when God told the Levites (who were not given any land) “I will be your inheritance!” Kind of like when David says in Psalm 16:5 “Lord, I have chosen You alone as my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion. I leave my destiny and its timing in your hands.” Dear Papa, I love You with all my heart. I love You more than the things You do for me. Your Presence, the smile and warmth of Your face, is everything to me. Amen and amen.

Decorated by God!

GOD PAUSE: How's your day going so far? Well, mine started off with a kind of jump start, leading me to read Psalm 103 ---- all because someone texted me a Bible verse from there. Psalm 103:2 says “Lord, You are my soul's celebration. How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness you've done for me?” Like me, your heart has experienced God's kiss of forgiveness. In spite of all you've done. We've been rescued from a horrible dark place. And the Lord heals us inside and out. And He lovingly decorates our days with His ornaments of love and kindness. Dear Lord, our whole heart and life bows in wonder and love before you. You are our soul's celebration. Amen and amen.

His Eye is on the Sparrow!

GOD PAUSE: A very BIG “Good Morning!” As you get ready to start off, I want you to know just how much God cares about the details of your life. About everything in it. About you. Jesus says is Matthew 10:29-31 “You can buy two sparrows for only a copper coin, yet not even one sparrow falls from its nest without the knowledge of your Father. Aren't you worth much more to God than many sparrows? So don't worry. For your Father cares deeply about even the smallest detail of your life.” Dear Lord, thanks for the reminder. May my friend and I be aware of it. Even today. Amen and amen.

God's Miracles in your Messes!

GOD PAUSE: I so look forward to our little bit of time each day. And right now I want to share with you something God has put on my heart. Here it is ---- God brings his miracles out of your messes. Lately I've been reading about the dysfunctional lives of Jacob and his family. Rivalries, jealousy, deceitfulness. You name it. And yet God still loved them and worked in their lives. So I guess there is still hope for you and me, right? Exactly! Proverbs 20:24 says “It is the Lord who directs your life, for each step you take is ordained by God to bring you closer to your destiny. So much of your life, then, remains a mystery!” Dear Papa, my friend and I trust you to do just that in our lives.

Just Give Me Jesus!

GOD PAUSE: Do you have a favorite “miracle story” in the life of Jesus? He did so many of them. John even says there wouldn't be enough books to contains all the things He said and did. But one of my favorites is when the woman touched the hem of his prayer shawl and was healed. Matthew 9:22 says “My daughter, be encouraged. Your faith has healed you' And instantly she was healed!” Dear Lord, You are the same yesterday, today and forever. May we have the faith to simply reach out to you right now and let Your power do its work. Nothing is impossible for You. Your power and Your love is not diminished. So we come to You. Amen and amen.

The Door to God

GOD PAUSE: I wish you can take some time to read the poem “I Stand By the Door.” Sam Shoemaker passionately describes his heart to reach out and help others to find the door to God. And that is the heart of God. Jesus tells us that it's not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick. And that He is not looking for people driven by religion but for people who have mercy and kindness in reaching out to those who need recovery. And we all need that in our lives. All of us. Dear Papa, help me and my friend to find the strays. May we be driven by Your heart to help them find their way home ---- to you. Amen and amen.

When God Seems So Far Away

GOD PAUSE: I wish sometimes that I could just sit across the table from you and just listen. I know that you and I have a story to tell. This morning, I was reading David's words in Psalm 10:1 where he says “Lord, you seem so far away when evil is near! Why do you stand so far off as though you don’t care? Why have you hidden yourself when I need you the most?” Dear Lord, I'm asking You to go into those places right now where there is disappointment, pain and even anger. Go in with Your love, comfort and peace. May my friend just take a step --- as small as it may seem --- to You. You will do the rest. Amen and amen.

Complete and Total Healing!

GOD PAUSE: “Good Morning!” my dear friend. I want you to start off with some very good news. Actually it's the greatest news ever --- Jesus loves you so much that He suffered and died so that you can be healed. What He did is provide everything you need by His death. Complete healing --- in body and mind. And deliverance from demonic activity as well. Matthew 8:17 says “These miraculous healings fulfilled what the prophet Isaiah had predicted 'He took our weaknesses upon Himself and He carried our diseases.” Dear Papa, extend your hand in the mighty name of Jesus and heal sick bodies right now. Your peace be released to troubled minds. And the influence and activity of the devil be driven aw
