Great is Thy Faithfulness!

GOD PAUSE: I never realized until yesterday that there is a Psalm in the Bible that is called “The Psalm of Old Age.” And the whole theme of Psalm 71 is David talking about the faithfulness of God all through his life. He says in verses 6 and 7 “It was you who supported me from the day I was born, loving me, helping me through my life's journey. You've made me into a miracle. No wonder I trust you and praise you forever! Many marvel at my success, but I know it is all because of you, my mighty protector!” Dear Lord, my friend and I thank You for always being there. We are who we are today all because of You. Amen and amen.

I Still Trust You, Lord!

GOD PAUSE: My dear, precious friend, the Lord knows what is troubling you right now. He understands your confusion. Even your disappointment that things did not turn out like you'd hoped they would. Listen to some of Jesus' parting words to His followers found in John 14:1. “Do not let your heart be troubled, afraid or cowardly. Confidently believe in God and trust in Him. Have faith. Hold on to it. Rely on it. And keep going. And believe also in Me.” Dear Lord, in midst of it all, we still trust in You. Our finite, limited minds may not understand, but we trust Your infinite, unlimited grace and presence to always be there for us. Amen and amen.

You Say, We Say!

GOD PAUSE: Like me, I know you are amazed at the many different things just a single Bible verse can speak to your heart. And God shows us so much of how He sees us. And how then we need to see ourselves. I was just reading in Song of Solomon 7:4 where God says about you and me “Your life stands tall as a tower, like a shining light on a hill. Your revelation eyes are pure, like pools of refreshing --- sparkling light for a multitude. Such discernment surrounds you, protecting you from the enemy's advance.” Dear Papa, we say what you say about us. Because of You, we are a strong tower. We are pools of refreshing for others to enjoy and be blessed. And Your wisdom in us protects us from the e

Your Springtime Has Come!

GOD PAUSE: My friend, your winter has passed and God is bringing about new life. Hear the Lord say to you “Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, 'There is change in the air.' Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me.” (Song of Solomon 2:13). Be blessed as you enter God's springtime for your life!

The Struggle is Real!

GOD PAUSE: I have never said that following Me and doing My will would be easy. I even told my prophet, Jeremiah, “If you are worn out after only running with a few men, how will you one day compete against the horses? If you stumble on the easy terrain, how will you manage in the thick brush near the Jordan?” (Jeremiah 12:5). Remember that I did say the last days would test your strength and resolve. But I also promised a great outpouring of my Holy Spirit. You will need it every day in order to rise above the fray. Things around you create a pressure to cause you to cave in. My Spirit within You is greater. Because of that, you can confidently say “I win!”

Be a Living Bible!

GOD PAUSE: I fondly remember when I first gave my heart to the Lord as teenager. Right away, I just also fell in love with the Bible. I saw it as God speaking right to me personally. And I simply wanted to live it out in my everyday world. Then I kind of went off track, thinking the Bible was given for me to either straighten others out or to prove I was right in what I believed. God, bring me to the reality of what you said to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 6:6 --- “Make the things I'm commanding you today part of who you are.” Dear Papa, this is the bottom line for me --- to let Your words become who I am. With You helping us, I and my friend will be your written words on display. A

GOD will pull it off!

GOD PAUSE: Be encouraged today, knowing that you are not alone in this thing called life. Actually, you are not equipped, nor are you expected to do be a “Lone Ranger.” There is a God who says to you and me in Psalm 37:5 “Give Me the right to direct your life, and as you trust Me along the way you’ll find that I pulled it off perfectly!” So, here's the deal --- give God the reigns, the controls. Then learn to trust Him day by day, step by step. And then watch as He miraculously does His thing. Dear Lord, I give you my heart and life ---- all of it. And I will trust You to direct me, step by step. And in that daily process, you will pull it off for me. As I do my part, I know you will faith

Looking for the Good!

GOD PAUSE: A very BIG “Good Morning!” to you, my friend. And welcome to a brand new day, packed full of good things from your loving heavenly Father! I hope you'll be able to start your day with a little time in your Bible. I was just reading a pretty neat principle in Proverbs 11:27. It says “Living your life seeking what is good for others brings untold favor. But those who wish evil for others will find it coming back on them.” Now, that's pretty plain talking, don't you think? Dear Papa, my friend and I are thankful for how you love and treat us. And we have your nature inside us. So, with your help, let us live with your heart for those around us. Working toward and looking for the good

A Blessing Boomerang!

GOD PAUSE: This morning, I just want you to know that nothing --- absolutely nothing you do --- goes unnoticed by God. Now, don't let that bring fear or worry to your heart. Let it be a great encouragement. I was just reading a little bit ago in Proverbs 11:25 that says “Those who live to bless others will have blessings heaped upon them, and the one who pours out his life to pour out blessings will be saturated with favor.” Dear Papa, let my friend realize you see all that is done for others. Pull back the curtain every once in a while and reveal your blessings because of their giving, helpful heart. In Jesus' mighty name I pray. Amen and amen.

YOU are a living testimony!

GOD PAUSE: Did you know that you are an advertisement --- a living billboard --- of God's miraculous power? Everywhere you go! I so love the story of Jesus healing the leprous man. After his miracle, Jesus tells him in Luke 5:14 “Go to the priest and show him you've been healed. You will become a living testimony to them!” Think of all the great things the Lord has done for you. Miracles of healing and wonderful provision. Many “just in time” arrivals when hope seemed almost gone. Well, guess what? You have a story to tell. Many actually. So, be blessed as you go out today and share God's goodness to you. It just might be the very thing someone needs to hear for their own lives.

There is More --- So Much More!

GOD PAUSE: “Good Morning!” to you, my friend! This morning, I just finished reading David's words found in Psalm 63, where he talks about his thirst for God. There was such a draw on his heart for more of the Lord! He knew that nothing would satisfy him like the anointing of God's presence. Hear his heart in verse 2 when he says “I am energized every time I enter your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of Your power and drink in more of Your glory.” Dear Papa, my friend and I feel your pull or drawing for more. There is so much more of You than what we are realizing or walking in right now. Like David, we are thirsting, we are hungry for more. Let us be filled with Your power and glory as we si

Bring a Smile to God's Face

GOD PAUSE: Well, here we are --- blessed with God's gift to us called “today.” And what you and I do with it is our gift to Him. Guess what? There are ways that we can bring a smile to God's face today. We can even call it our worship. Because the Bible does. This morning a friend sent me the Bible verse of Hebrews 13:16. It says “We will show mercy to the poor and not miss an opportunity to do acts of kindness for others, for these are the true sacrifices that delight God's heart.” Dear Papa, my friend and I want to bring a smile to your face today. So we look for those opportunities to do just that. Amen and amen.

Enjoy the Adventure!

GOD PAUSE: You, my dear friend, are on the adventure of a lifetime! Your Bible talks about it some in I Corinthians 1:9 that says “God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.” Just imagine it! You and I have the privilege, the joy, yes the adventure of Jesus being right beside us, step by step today. This morning, I read that King Hezekiah was blessed by God doing His part by holding his hand through all of his adventures of life. Dear Papa, we trust You to be right beside us, holding on to us, and enjoying the adventure of today. Amen and amen.

Can't Be Messing with what God is Blessing!

GOD PAUSE: Did you know that you are a very wealthy person? Well, you are! And I really mean what I'm saying. Solomon says in Proverbs 10:22 that “The blessing of the LORD is what makes someone rich, and He doesn't add sorrow or pain to it.” I had to laugh when I was reading the story of Balaam who was sent to curse God's people Israel. The Bible says “Meanwhile, it was obvious to Balaam that the LORD was quite happy to bless Israel” (Numbers 24:1). So here's the deal --- you just can't mess with what God chooses to bless! And, my dear friend, God Himself chooses to bless you today --- with all that Jesus died on the cross to give you. Enjoy, O blessed one, the goodness of the Lord! Today an

YOU Are God's Beautiful Garden!

GOD PAUSE: Well, a very warm “Good Morning!” to you, my friend. I want to encourage your heart with a word from Isaiah 58:11. No matter how you feel --- or what you might be going through --- right now, hear this word from the Lord. “The Eternal One will never leave you. He will lead you in the way that you should go. When you feel dried up and worthless, God will nourish you and give you strength. And you will grow like a garden lovingly tended. You will be like a spring whose water never runs out.” (Isaiah 58:11). Dear Lord, let it be so in my and my friend's lives. Especially right now. Amen and amen.

The Heart of God

GOD PAUSE: You and I are so blessed to have a copy of God's autobiography --- the Bible. I'm sure, like me, you take time to read from it often. Instead of reading it for just information or to learn something new, I ask God to simply show me His heart. And He did just that today when I read Psalm 34:18. It says “The Lord is close to all whose hearts are crushed by pain and is always ready to restore the repentant one.” Dear Lord, you don't need an invitation to come alongside us when our hearts are hurting. You are already there. And Your heart is always to bring us back close to You when we've wandering away. How grateful we are for Your heart! Amen and amen.

Still Flourishing

GOD PAUSE: I, the Lord God, say to you “Yes, it is very important how you see yourself. But even more important, how I see you. I see you as a flourishing olive tree, anointed because of time spend in my Presence. See yourself as being more fruitful, more productive, more influential to those in your life life and world. The older the olive tree, the more fruitful the crop. And where you are planted right now, it where you are meant to be. Trust in my unending love for you. My passion for you is forever and ever. Bask in the sunlight of just being with Me. Enjoy it. Your fruitfulness is a natural result.” Amen and amen (based on Psalm 52:8)

Enjoying the Present Moment

GOD PAUSE: The Lord would say to you and me “Learn to live in the present moment. I am the God of right now. I am present with You every step that you take. I am all around You. In the little things, I will reveal myself to you in so many ways and you will see them if you look with expectancy. I will place my love gifts all along your path today. Don't allow the distractions around you to lose focus on Me and My Presence. Relax and enjoy the adventure of today. I have told you “This is the day that I have made. Rejoice and be glad in it.” Let's do it together.”

The Best Meal of All!

GOD PAUSE: A very BIG “Good Morning!” to you, my friend. As you get ready to embark and travel on a brand new day, I want to remind you that you have a God-given purpose for your life. I was reading in the Bible where Jesus' disciples were wanting Him to eat some food because He hadn't for a while. And Jesus basically said that He had been eating a meal that they knew nothing about. Then Jesus told them “My food is to be doing the will of Him who sent me and bring it to completion.” (John 4:34). The meal Jesus had just eaten was sharing living water with a lady at Jacob's well. Dear Lord, may our true nourishment be sharing You with those around us. Direct our steps as we move our feet towar

The Price Has Been Paid!

GOD PAUSE: There's something that I can hardly take in this morning. And it all started with a Bible passage I read in Psalm 49:8,9 that says “A soul's redemption is too costly and precious for anyone to pay with earthly wealth. The price to pay is never enough to purchase eternal life for even one, to keep them out of hell.” Oh Hallelujah that Jesus paid the price --- the costly price of all --- for your and my redemption! How can we ever doubt His awesome love for us? Dear Lord, how grateful and full our hearts are today. You, Jesus, have made the way for our salvation and place with the Father. We are now home with Him. We simply can't thank you enough. The price has been paid! Amen and a
