Don't Brag!

GOD PAUSE: You and I are about ready to embark on a brand new shiny day. And the Bible tells us that each day is a gift from God. And that all of our days are in God's loving hands. No wonder David says we should celebrate each one God gives to us! But there is another rather sobering reality about each day --- especially tomorrow. Proverbs 27:1 reminds us to “Never brag about the plans you have for tomorrow, for you don't have a clue what tomorrow may bring to you.” So dear Papa, we thank You for the precious gift of today. And yet we do have plans, an agenda to walk through. But we don't know it all. You do. We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we do know Who holds it. Amen and amen.

You are not Forgotten

GOD PAUSE: There are many voices that cry out and even demand your attention. But it's the words of the Lord that you need to heed and let sink in deep into your heart. So hear the word of Lord to you right now --- “You are not forgotten, for you have been chosen and destined by Father God. The Holy Spirit has set you apart to be God's holy ones, obedient followers of Jesus Christ who have been gloriously sprinkled with his blood. May God's delightful grace and peace cascade over you many times over!” (I Peter 1:2). Oh be blessed today, knowing who are you, whose you are, and what you have --- all because of your loving, heavenly Papa.

Experiencing God's Glory

GOD PAUSE: I just love reading the Bible, don't you? And I'd be the first to say that there's a lot of it I don't understand. But I know this for a fact --- God talks to me when I do read it. Today is a good case in point. I was reading in Ezekiel 11:23 where it says “The glory of the Eternal arose from the center of the city and began to move east, stopping momentarily above the mountain to its east called the Mount of Olives.” God immediately showed me that His glory --- His power, His presence, His majesty --- would be seen where Jesus would often pray alone and with His followers. Dear Lord, my friend and I want to be where Your glory is seen. And that will be in those times we spend wit

I Cherish You....and Your Heart

GOD PAUSE: I am the LORD your God and I cherish you deeply. Although you are my precious one, you are guilty of comparing yourself with others. At times you think you don't measure up to me in some way. Feelings of being inferior or unworthy. But I see and know your heart. Your heart is like that of my servant David who said of Me “Seek more of His strength! Seek more of Him! Let's always be seeking the light of His face!” (Psalm 105:4). It is in your seeking that you will find. Keep seeking for more of Me. Keep pressing in to Me. My Presence will be the light in which you walk, step by step. Yes, I will be with you, face-to-face. The sincerity of your heart is all that is needed. I will do

In Your Confusion.......

GOD PAUSE: I am the LORD your God and you belong to Me. You are my child and I cherish you dearly. I am with you --- even in your season of confusion. My prophet Ezekiel experienced the fog of confusion. He --- like you at times --- did know how what I was doing or where I was working in his life. But he did confess that “after those 7 days of confusion, the Word of the Eternal finally came to me.” Oh, please know this my dear child, your confusion, you fog, will come to an end when I speak to you. And I will truly do that. Trust Me. I am still right beside you. You don't need to try to figure it all out. More than anything else, You simply need to hear Me speak to you.

An Inventory of your Heart

GOD PAUSE: You will often hear me refer to, or call God “Papa” because he truly is a loving Father. And because He is our loving Papa, He will often warn you and me of potential danger or harm. I was just reading about one of his fatherly warnings in Hebrews 3:12 where it says “So search your hearts every day and make sure that none of you has evil or unbelief hiding within you. For it will lead you astray and make you unresponsive to the living God.” Dear Papa, my friend and I have a tendency to drift away. To wander off. And we sure don't want to be insensitive to your voice. So we search our hearts and ask for your forgiveness because of the sin and unbelief there. In Jesus' loving and fo
