An Artesian Well

GOD PAUSE: Good morning. You know, I try to spend some time every day reading my Bible. And just a few minutes ago I read a verse in Proverbs 18:4 that gives me a good reason to keep doing that. It says “Words bubble up from waters deep within a person and streams gush from a fountain of wisdom.” The Bible is like a mighty river that refreshes, strengthens and blesses us when we read it. And then it forms like an artesian well deep inside us and that bubbles up, helping us remember its words during our day. Father, we thank you for your Word. As my friend and I spend time reading it today, may it do the wonderful work it's created to do. Amen.
