Running on Empty

GOD PAUSE: I imagine one of the reasons that Psalms is one of my favorite books of the Bible is because of David's brutal honesty. He talks about running on empty, not sure of even how or when to take the next step. Yet he knows that he's on God's mind. I was reading in Psalm 40:17 where he says “Meanwhile, I am empty and need so much, but I know the Lord is thinking of me. You are my help. Only You can save me, my True God. Please hurry.” Lord, let the precious words of this verse sink down deep into the heart of my friend today. Amen.
