Out of the Garbage

GOD PAUSE: In one of my devotion books this morning, I read about the story of Leah. She was unloved, unappreciated and neglected. Yet she became the mother of Levi who brought the priesthood and eventually Moses. Only God has a way of doing things like that. Psalm 113:7,8 tells us “He lifts the poor out of the dirt and rescues beggars from the garbage dump. He put them in important positions, give them a place among the leaders of his people.” Lord, we thank you for way you turn our lives around. You not only change our circumstances, but you change us. You make something beautiful and powerful for your glory. Amen.
