Don't Let Bad Words Land

GOD PAUSE: One of the things I do just about every day is feed the birds in my backyard. And I've noticed how flighty the sparrows can be. Just about anything can make them take off and fly. It reminds me of something God tells us in Proverbs 26:2. He says don't worry about words or curses that come against you. They can't even land on you. All they can do is just fly over your head. Lord, we don't need to spend our time defending ourselves or trying to put out the fiery words that aren't right. And we sure don't want the words to build a nest in our head. Instead, may we let your words about us do that. Amen.
