Preemptive Attack

GOD PAUSE: There's a military term called a preemptive attack. It means an attack that's initiated on the basis of evidence that an enemy attack in about ready to happen. You attack first before the enemy does. One of the times our enemy will attack us is at the beginning of something powerful or good in our lives. We see the devil coming against Jesus just before his ministry is about to take off. So what was Jesus' preemptive strategy against the devil? He stops him dead in his tracks by speaking God's words at him. Yes, the enemy will attack, but you win with the word of God. So, speak it out!
