Spirit Eyes

GOD PAUSE: I was reminded this morning --- in a very emotional and heart-wrenching way --- that there are two ways of looking at things. Seeing through natural physical eyes. And perceiving with spiritual eyes. We are so prone and drawn to rely on human resources of understanding. In the Bible when the prophet Elisha was surrounded by an enemy's army, his servant became so frightened and upset. Elisha prayed “O Eternal One, I ask You to allow my servant to see heavenly realities.” (2 Kings 6:17a). Lord, as you did for Elisha's servant, awaken our eyes to see what's real. Reveal to us what's really around us --- and what's really going on. May we see with Spirit eyes. Amen.
