As a Child

GOD PAUSE: I went with a friend to attend an AA meeting yesterday and the discussion centered around humility. And I was reminded of something in Matthew 8 that says “Jesus called a little child to his side and set him on his feet in the middle of them all. “Believe me,” he said, “unless you change your whole outlook and become like little children you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven. It is the man who can be as humble as this little child who is greatest in the kingdom of Heaven.” Humility seems to have something to do with being comfortable to be around Jesus, just like this little child. No hypocrisy. No pretense. No agenda. Just glad to be with Jesus enjoying His presence and company. Think about that little child the next time you think about what it means to be humble.
