Love Hurts, Never Harms

GOD PAUSE: I've only had two surgeries in my lifetime --- both of them many many years ago. And I know the surgeon's knife was a tool that hurt me, but didn't harm me. Because of it, healing took place. Love is a lot like that. And so are God's words. Proverbs 27:6 says “Faithful are the wounds of a friend who corrects out of love and concern.” Love hurts but never harms. There's a big difference. Be grateful for those in your life who love you enough to tell you the truth. The surgery is necessary in order to bring health and healing to your life. Father, we're grateful for those who love us enough --- like you --- to say the things we need to hear. Let the healing begin. Amen.
