GOD PAUSE: I was reminded in my Bible reading just now, that there is something that I need in my life called “constructive criticism.” Now criticism is another matter. You and I will always encounter people who'll do that. People will judge us and say things that are not meant to help us change. Their criticism brings causes hurt, damage or destruction in some way. But Proverbs 28:23 tells us “A person who offers constructive criticism will, in the end, be appreciated more than a person who engages in empty flattery.” Dear Lord, help me and my friend always be open and appreciative of constructive criticism in our lives. It makes us better. It brings correction that we need. It helps build us up even if it's painful at the time. We love you, Lord, for loving us enough to correct us. Amen.
