GOD PAUSE: As I finished reading my Bible last night, the life of one of my Bible professors came to my mind. I felt an urge to do a quick online search, finding he has passed on to heaven about a year and a half ago. A lot of different emotions flooded my heart. This man had poured a lot into my early life as a minister in training. I preached my first sermon in his church. They supported Michele and me when we started a church from the ground up. He believed in me even though I was so young. And he taught me by example of how a pastor should be. I say this to you today --- always be grateful for those who have influenced and blessed you over the years. Proverbs 27:17 says “In the same way that iron sharpens iron, a person sharpens the character of his friend.” And I am a blessed man.
