GOD PAUSE: I'll admit that one of my frustrations when traveling is having to take a detour. It slows down progress. It is inconvenient. And it means going off the normal route. Yesterday I was reading in Numbers chapter 21 that God directed his children to take a detour. And they got irritable and started to complain about their situation. They even spoke out against God and Moses. They failed to see that God was the One taking them on a detour for a reason. Proverbs 20:24 says “The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?” Lord, help me and my friend trust you more that we do at times --- especially along the detours of life. You are the One in charge. May we just enjoy the ride. Amen.
