In a Tight Spot
GOD PAUSE: I think one of the reasons I love the book of Psalms is David's brutal honesty. He tells it like it is about his life. Even in his the tough times. This morning I was reading his words in Psalm 31. He says “I'm in a tight spot. I'm filled with grief. My body and soul are suffering in pain. My strength is sapped. And people avoid helping me. They are even part of the problem.” David doesn't fake it. But then he boldly says “But I pour my trust into You, LORD. I'm glad to says 'You are my God!' I give the moments of my life over to You.” So, dear Lord, we boldly declare --- despite what is going on and what we're going through right now --- we trust You. And we lay it all down at Your feet. All of it. Everything. You are our shelter and our strength. Amen and amen.
