Hurting Vs. Healing

GOD PAUSE: My dear friend, our words are so very powerful. And most of them are not neutral. They have power to hurt or to heal. To damage or to restore. Oh, how important that we choose our words wisely. I remember my dad telling me “God gave you two ears and one mouth, so listen twice as much as you talk.” Reading from Proverbs 12:18, God reminds us that “Reckless words are like the thrusts of a sword, cutting remarks meant to stab and to hurt. But the words of the wise soothe and heal.” Papa, we need your help in speaking words that are healthy and bring healing to others. And to shut down words that don't. Let us wield the power of our words wisely. Amen.
