Gethsemane's Battle & Victory!

GOD PAUSE: Part of my time with the Lord this morning was reading about Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, which means “olive press.” Jesus was being pressed to the max that fateful day. But he won the victory for you and for me. My favorite scene in “”The Passion” was when Jesus stood up and crushed the head of the snake, the devil. Matthew 26:39 tells us that “Jesus walked a little farther and finally fell prostrate and prayed 'Father, this is the last thing I want. If there is any way, please take this bitter cup from Me. Not my will, but yours be done.” Dear Jesus, we are so very grateful that You won that day in Gethsemane. And it's because of your total surrender to your Father's will. May my friend and I learn from your example --- our will giving way to yours. Amen and amen.
