There's a Cost to Following God

November 27, 2016

GOD PAUSE: In both my Old and New Testament readings yesterday, I saw that following God can and will have a cost to pay. The 3 Hebrews were thrown into a fiery furnace because of refusing to worship an idol. And Peter says in I Peter 4:14 “If you are persecuted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.” And even today, being true to the Lord will cause reproach or harassment, called persecution. Like it or not, it's an indication of being recognized as a God-follower. The struggle is real. And God's Spirit rests upon you. So press on.

(Thank you for being a good seed sower by sharing GOD PAUSE with friends!
