GOD PAUSE: Many, many years ago, I heard a man tell the story of his father walking around their basement holding up an empty money pouch to the Lord. As an act of his faith, he was trusting the Lord to provide the money they needed to keep the coal furnace running. That story reminds me of David's words in Psalm 123:2 that says “We look to the LORD our God for his mercy and kindness just as a servant keeps his eyes upon his master or a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.” What is it that you need today? As an act of your faith, why not lift up open hands to the LORD right now and ask Him to supply? Papa, Your have promised to meet all of our needs, so we reach up to You by faith, knowing You will do just that. Amen.
